About the Plugin
The plugin fiskaltrust for Pickware POS extends your existing point of sale solution Pickware POS with a connection to the external security device from fiskaltrust, so that your Pickware POS checkout becomes a tamper-proof cash register system in accordance with the requirements of the Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung (RKSV) in Austria. When using our plugin, both classic receipts and all DIN A4 invoices created with Pickware POS are signed with a corresponding QR code.
Background: Since 01.04.2017, there has been a legal obligation in Austria to
protect the records in a cash register from manipulation using a technical
security device. This requires a cash register system that complies with the Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung
(RKSV) and an implementation of the equally mandated
tamper protection. This means that every receipt must be cryptographically
signed using a QR code.
According to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), the following steps must be carried out when registering a cash register:
Commissioning the signature creation unit (security device) in accordance with the RKSV
Registering the signature or seal creation unit
Registering the cash register
Commissioning the cash register by creating the initial receipt
Checking the initial receipt
Start of ongoing operation - revenue bookings are possible from this point on
Important: If you temporarily deactivate the plugin, make sure to reactivate it before the next checkout process. If you accidentally checked out with the plugin deactivated, be sure to perform a manual retroactive recording. Otherwise, you will be in violation of the Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung.
