Purchase and installation
Pickware is ready to use with your existing technical infrastructure within a few hours. You can easily purchase the ERP as well as the plugins you want, such as WMS and POS, through the Shopware Community Store and install them within minutes via the Plugin Manager in your backend. You'll find all your purchased plugins there under My Purchases. Once you've installed a plugin, you should clear the caches, so confirm the message after installation with Yes. Then you can activate the plugin using the corresponding button. After that, the caches need to be cleared again.
Pickware ERP is part of the Professional and Enterprise Edition of Shopware. So if you've already used Pickware ERP as a trial version but don't yet have a corresponding license from Shopware, you'll first need to purchase one and add it to your shop.
If you're using an older Shopware version (before Shopware 5.5), you also need to install the Shopware License Manager before installation. You can find more information on this here.
Migration and setup
In most cases, no migration is necessary at all when switching to Pickware, since Pickware works directly with your Shopware shop's customer and order data. This is especially true if your previous inventory management system was connected to Shopware via an import/export or connector/interface. Only data that Shopware doesn't manage by default, such as suppliers, then needs to be transferred manually. You can find more information on migration in our migration guide.
To set up the Pickware Apps for Pickware WMS and Pickware POS, a setup wizard is available within the respective app. To use it, at least one user must first be created in the Shopware backend. Depending on your individual requirements, you may also need to plan time for setting up printers, recording storage bins, or even reorganizing your warehouse.
If you've never worked with Pickware before, you'll find tips on how to proceed with the setup in this article. If you're already familiar with Pickware but are using one of our plugins for the first time, we recommend our overview articles, which link to all the relevant articles for each topic.
