Error Messages of the fiskaltrust Security Device

In case of temporary internet connection outages or if fiskaltrust is unreachable, you are legally required to create handwritten receipts and to carry out a subsequent recording of the manual receipts as soon as your POS is back online or fiskaltrust is reachable again.

We've compiled the potential status/error messages, along with the necessary steps to resolve the issue, in the table below.

"Login failed

Update the Pickware POS app on your iPad or iPod/iPhone.

"[...]The version of the Pickware POS app you are using does not yet support receipt signing. Please update the app to the latest version."

POS App

Update the Pickware POS app on your iPad or iPod/iPhone.

"[...]The security device has failed. Please try again later."

POS App

Issue handwritten receipts with the note "security device failed". As soon as the POS system is reachable again, carry out the subsequent receipt recording.

"[...]The security device is in recovery mode following a failure. Please carry out a subsequent recording of all handwritten receipts and then create a zero receipt from the backend."

POS App

You've started the subsequent receipt recording but haven't yet completed it with a zero receipt. Continue with the subsequent receipt recording.

"[...]Could not connect to the server" or "[...]: Please check your internet connection. [...]"

POS App

Your internet connection isn't working or your shop system is offline. Please check both and then try again.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, issue handwritten receipts until the problem is fixed and then carry out a subsequent receipt recording.

"The order could not be created because the following error occurred: [...]"

with an error message not listed here.

POS App

Proceed as you would for a missing internet connection. If this doesn't resolve your issue, or you frequently receive the same unknown error message, please contact Pickware Support.

"Out of order"

Status in the backend under Kunden → fiskaltrust für Pickware POS (Customers → fiskaltrust for Pickware POS)

Create a start receipt in the backend.

"SSCD temporarily failed"

Status in the backend under Kunden → fiskaltrust für Pickware POS (Customers → fiskaltrust for Pickware POS)

Create a zero receipt as a failure collective receipt. If the status is still displayed afterward, the signature creation unit remains failed. Continue working normally for now and try creating a zero receipt again after some time.

"SSCD permanently failed"

Status in the backend under Kunden → fiskaltrust für Pickware POS (Customers → fiskaltrust for Pickware POS)

"Subsequent receipt recording mode activated"

You've started the subsequent receipt recording but haven't yet completed it with a zero receipt. Continue with the subsequent receipt recording.

"Monthly report due"

Status in the backend under Kunden → fiskaltrust für Pickware POS (Customers → fiskaltrust for Pickware POS)

Create a monthly receipt.

"Annual report due"

Status in the backend under Kunden → fiskaltrust für Pickware POS (Customers → fiskaltrust for Pickware POS)

Create an annual receipt. Please note that after creating the annual receipt, you must carry out a receipt check in the fiskaltrust.Portal.

"Message/notification pending"

Status in the backend under Kunden → fiskaltrust für Pickware POS (Customers → fiskaltrust for Pickware POS)
