About the plugin

The Gift Vouchers plugin lets you sell individual gift vouchers. These are created as standalone products by adding a new Gift Voucher section to the product master data, and they are connected to Shopware's existing voucher system. Purchased gift vouchers can be redeemed as usual in the online shop or, when using the Pickware POS checkout system, also in the physical store. In the Shopware standard, only one voucher can be redeemed per order. In combination with Pickware POS, starting with app version 6.0.0, any number of vouchers can be redeemed, until the cart value reaches €0.

Gift vouchers sold through the online shop are automatically generated and sent to the customer as a PDF. Depending on the plugin configuration, they are sent together with the confirmation email or as a separate email. When sold through Pickware POS, the voucher can also be printed directly.

The Gift Vouchers plugin allows for remaining balances when redeeming gift vouchers. Compared to Shopware's standard vouchers, the behavior is extended as follows:

The minimum order value can be lower than the value of the gift voucher.
The remaining balance of the gift voucher is automatically calculated upon order.
The gift voucher is only considered redeemed once the full amount has been redeemed.

You can view the remaining balance of a gift voucher in the individual vouchers view, in the Remaining balance column.
