Gift voucher products can be deleted like regular products. Linked Shopware vouchers are not automatically deleted along with the gift voucher product. This way, voucher codes that have already been sold can still be redeemed. If needed, you can delete the associated voucher and thus all assigned voucher codes via the Shopware voucher administration.
To prevent individual voucher codes of a voucher series from being redeemed, you can mark them as redeemed under Marketing → Vouchers in the Individual voucher codes tab of the desired voucher. After clicking the lock icon (Mark voucher as redeemed), a final confirmation prompt will appear.
Important notes:
Orders that contain vouchers should not be deleted, as this would also delete the amount already redeemed, making the voucher available again at its full value. Plugins that automatically delete orders are therefore strongly discouraged.
If an order containing a voucher is cancelled, the voucher code must also be manually deactivated, as otherwise the voucher can still be used.
