Setting up the WMS App

When you open the Pickware WMS App for the first time, you can either start the configuration via Start setup or start demo mode. This configures your device so that you're automatically connected to our demo shop, where you can test all features for as long as you like. To connect your device to your actual shop, tap Start setup. The setup wizard guides you through all the necessary steps.

Login / Create Pickware account

You need a user account to use the app. If you've already created an account for Pickware POS, you can keep using it by entering your login credentials here.

If you don't yet have a Pickware account in the Shopware 5 world, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Create account and select Shopware 5 in the next window.

  2. Enter the URL of your shop. When a device is connected to the shop for the first time, it must be activated manually in the backend under Settings → Pickware Device Management. If device management isn't visible in the backend, follow the steps described here.

  3. Once your device has been activated, click Next.

  4. Then log in with your backend user and enter your email address in the following window.

  5. You'll now receive an email from us. To confirm your address and set up your account, click Confirm email address. You'll then be taken to the Pickware Business Platform, where you can set your password and enter your company details. Afterwards, return to the app and log in with the account you just created.

Log in with your backend login credentials

Next, you need the login credentials for your Shopware 5 backend. You'll then reach the printer setup via the Next button.

Printer setup

Next, you can assign printers to different paper formats and document types. Under Paper formats, you'll find the formats A4, A5 and A6 as well as various shipping label types. Under Document type, you'll find all document types that you can create in the Admin.

You can access this menu again at any time via the settings in the app menu under Printer to make adjustments. You can find further help on printer setup here.

Save configuration

In the next step, you can name and save your configuration. The configuration includes all the settings you made during the app setup. This way, you can create configurations for different printer setups or different shops and conveniently switch between them via the arrow in the top right.

Shopware login

You've now completed the setup of the WMS App and can log in with your Shopware user.

Starting demo mode & resetting the configuration

Your device can only ever be connected to one shop at a time. So if you want to connect it to a different shop, you need to reset the configuration. Demo mode is an exception to this: you can switch from your configured shop to demo mode and back again at any time without losing the configuration.

To reset the configuration or switch to demo mode, you first need to log out of the app. In the user selection window, you can reset the configuration or switch to demo mode via the gear icon in the top right.
