Set up the WMS App

Shopware 5 — Connect your device to the WMS App and set up printers. The setup wizard guides you through account creation, device activation, and printer configuration.

When you open the Pickware WMS App for the first time, you can either start the configuration via Einrichtung starten (Start setup) or launch demo mode. Demo mode configures your device so that it is automatically connected to our demo shop, where you can test all features for as long as you like. To connect your device to your actual shop, tap Einrichtung starten (Start setup). The setup wizard guides you through all the necessary steps.

Log in / Create a Pickware account

You need a user account to use the app. If you have already created an account for Pickware POS, you can keep using it by entering your credentials here.

If you don't have a Pickware account in the Shopware 5 world yet, proceed as follows:

  1. Tap Account erstellen (Create account) and select Shopware 5 in the next window.

  2. Enter the URL of your shop. When a device is connected to the shop for the first time, it must be activated manually in the backend under Settings → Pickware Geräteverwaltung (Pickware device management). If the device management is not visible in the backend, follow the steps described here.

  4. Then log in with your backend user and enter your email address in the following window.

Printer setup

Next, you can assign printers to different paper formats and document types. Under Papierformate (Paper formats) you will find the formats A4, A5, and A6 as well as various shipping label types. Under Document type you will find all document types that you can create in the Admin.

You can open this menu again at any time via the settings in the app menu under Drucker (Printers) and make adjustments. You can find further help with printer setup here.

Shopware login

That completes the setup of the WMS App, and you can log in with your Shopware user.

Start demo mode & reset the configuration

Your device can only be connected to one shop at a time. If you want to connect it to a different shop, you must reset the configuration. Demo mode is an exception: you can switch from your configured shop to demo mode and back at any time without losing the configuration.

To reset the configuration or switch to demo mode, you must first log out of the app. In the user selection window, you can use the gear icon at the top right to reset the configuration or switch to demo mode.
