To clearly distinguish between payment methods for online and offline sales, you need to create all the desired payment methods for POS and assign them to the respective stores/subshops. To do this, go to Settings → Payment methods and click New, then create the desired payment methods one after another.
The name of the payment method will later be displayed for selection in the app. You can enter an internal name for the payment method. Otherwise, you just need to mark the payment method as active and then save it.
After you have created and saved the payment methods, they will be displayed on the left in the list of available payment methods. If you select one of the payment methods, you can use the Subshop selection tab to activate the shops in which the respective payment method should be available. This way, for example, you can prevent cash payment from being available for selection in your online shop.
Additionally, the payment methods must be set up in the POS plugin configuration. You can find more information about this here.
We recommend creating the following payment methods by default:
Cash/cash payment: This payment method should normally only be available for selection in your stores and should therefore only be assigned to the subshops of your stores.
Debit/credit card: Even if you already offer a payment method for credit card purchases in your online shop, we recommend creating a separate card payment method for your stores so that the reports on payment methods aren't skewed, and so that you can, for example, use different card payment providers for online and offline sales.
Invoice (optional): If you want to offer purchase on invoice (also) in your brick-and-mortar store and the payment method doesn't yet exist in your shop, you can create it now as well.
Payment on pickup (optional): If you want to give your customers the option of paying for pickup orders only once they arrive in-store, you can also create a corresponding payment method. When payment is made in-store, this payment method is replaced by the actual payment method used.
Note: Only assign this payment method to the shipping methods for pickup that you created specifically for this purpose, so that your customers can't select payment on pickup for any other shipping methods.
Important: If you have activated automatic creation and sending of invoices in the configuration of the Pickware ERP plugin, you must exclude the pickup payment method from this!
