How do I set up DHL Express for Pickware?

To assign DHL Express products to your shipping methods and automatically create the corresponding labels, you first need to make a few settings.

Afterwards, your API Account needs to be activated for the MyDHL API. You can initiate this activation process through your DHL Express business customer account.

The following credentials are required for the configuration in the Pickware Admin:

  • DHL Express account number (9 digits)

  • DHL Express username

  • DHL Express password

Note: If you only have a 14-digit billing number for DHL Express, please contact DHL Express Sales to obtain a 9-digit DHL Express account number.

DHL Express settings

Note: Before you configure the settings for DHL Express, make sure you have already made the general settings for all shipping service providers. You'll find them under Settings → Extensions → Shipping labels general. These settings apply to all shipping service providers you use. You can find all the details here.

Sales Channel

Here you can specify which of your connected Shopify shops ("Sales Channels") the following settings should apply to. By default, the settings apply to all connected shops. If you have only connected one Shopify shop to this Pickware Admin, still select the All Sales Channels option.

If you select a specific shop, all fields are initially linked to the general settings. You can recognize this by the chain icon and the grayed-out fields. Click the icon to unlink it and enter individual settings, while other fields remain linked.

DHL Express credentials

Enter the username, password, and account number for your DHL Express account here. If you want to use the test environment instead of the production environment, enable Use testing web service.

Privacy settings

  • Enable shipping notifications via e-mail – If enabled, DHL sends a shipping notification via e-mail to the package recipient. For this, the Transmit customer's e-mail address to DHL option must be enabled.
