So that you can assign GLS products to your shipping methods and automatically create labels, you first need to make a few settings.
Registering with GLS
To create shipping labels for GLS in Pickware, you need the following access data from GLS:
API key
API secret
Contact ID
If you have any questions about this, please contact your GLS representative.
GLS settings
Before you make the settings for GLS, make sure that you have already made the general settings for all shipping carriers. You can find them under Settings → Extensions → Shipping labels general (Versandetiketten allgemein). These settings apply to all shipping carriers you use. You can find all the details here.
The settings specifically for GLS shipping labels can be found under Settings → Extensions → GLS.
Sales Channel
Here you can specify which of your Sales Channels the following settings should apply to. By default, the settings apply to all Sales Channels. If you only use one Sales Channel, still select the All Sales Channels option. If you select a specific shop, all fields are initially linked to the general settings. You can recognize this by the chain icon and the greyed-out fields. Click on the icon to remove the link and make individual settings, while other fields remain linked. |
GLS login
API key, API secret - You receive this data from GLS after registering.
Contact ID - Enter your Contact ID here. You will receive this from your GLS representative.
Use testing web service - Enable this option if you do not want to use the productive web service from GLS. For more information, contact your GLS representative.
Label settings
Here you select which paper format you want to use for your labels. For labels in A6 format, only the label itself is created; in A5 format, a copy for the sender is also printed. GLS itself specifies a size of 100 mm x 150 mm, which roughly corresponds to a DIN A6 page (105 mm x 148 mm).

Saving data
Don't forget to save your entered data using the blue button at the top before leaving the menu. If the button shows a white checkmark instead of the word Save, this means that all data has been saved since your last entry.
When will my packages be picked up?
Pickup dates are arranged directly with your GLS account manager.
