How do I set up Click & Collect?

With Click & Collect, you offer your customers the option to pick up items ordered online at your store. They can either pay for their orders in advance online or on-site at your store, or they can have products set aside at your store to pick up at a later time.

You can find all the information about creating and processing Click & Collect orders in your online shop and store in this article.

Assigning shipping and payment methods

When you install the Pickware POS extension, the shipping method Selbstabholung (Click & Collect) and the payment method Zahlung bei Abholung (Click & Collect) are created automatically for you. For these to be available to your customers, they only need to be set under Sales Channels → [Name of your sales channel] → General → Payment and Shipping for your online shop and your store.

Adjusting shipping and payment methods

We also recommend reviewing the shipping and payment methods again and making adjustments if needed. You can find them under Settings → Shipping or Payment Methods. For example, you can select an existing availability rule or create a new rule for Click & Collect. You can find out how to create rules with the Rule Builder here.

Creating your own shipping and payment methods (optional)

If you want to (additionally) create your own shipping and payment methods for Click & Collect, these still need to be set up in the administration under Settings → Extensions → Pickware POS → Click & Collect .

Adjusting flows for sending emails (optional)

In Shopware 6, an email is sent to the customer by default whenever a status change occurs. If you don't want this to happen for the status change when the order is picked up, you need to define exceptions for Click & Collect in the affected flows (state_enter.order.state.in_progress and state_enter.order.state.completed). You can find more information about the Flow Builder from Shopware in the documentation.
