How can I view the pickability of each order line item?

Shopware 6 — See at a glance which order line items are completely, partially or not at all pickable, with stock and expected delivery dates.

Especially with larger orders, it is often not obvious at first glance which individual line items can actually be picked.

The pickability per order line item shows you directly in the order overview which line items of an order are completely, partially or not pickable in the selected warehouse. This way, you can see with one click which line items can currently be shipped.

Below, we show you how the pickability view is structured and what the individual states mean.

If an order does not appear in the WMS App at all, Why is an order not displayed in the WMS App? can help you.

In the order overview, the pickability of each order is shown with a colored icon.

How is pickability calculated?

Pickability is calculated based on the quantity of order line items that still needs to be shipped. Partial shipments that have already been made are automatically taken into account.

Pickability always refers to one warehouse. By default, pickability is calculated for the default warehouse. In the filter sidebar, you can change the calculation to a different warehouse by selecting one or more pickability states as filters.

The physical stock in the selected warehouse is what counts. Stock in the goods receipt that has not yet been put away, and stock in picking boxes, is not pickable.

Pickability per order line item

By clicking the pickability icon of an order, you open the pickability per order line item. In addition to simply displaying pickability, you can view further stock-related information, for example the current stock or the incoming stock.

This way, you can tell with just one click which line items are currently holding up shipping and whether an order can be picked completely or only partially.

If you click the incoming stock in the row of an order line item, you land directly on the filtered overview of the open supplier orders for this product. There you can view the next expected delivery date for this line item. This helps you assess whether a partial shipment makes sense or whether it is better to wait for missing items.

You can also find a complete overview of all order line items for a product, with a total row and further filters, directly in the product details on the Supplier orders tab.

What do the different state icons mean?

In the detailed view, you see a state for each line item that indicates how pickable it currently is.

Completely pickable (green)
There is enough stock in the selected warehouse for this line item to pick the entire remaining quantity. The line item does not stand in the way of shipping the order.

Grün.png

Partially pickable (yellow)
Part of the remaining quantity is pickable. When you hover over the yellow icon, you see how many units are currently pickable (e.g. 5 / 10 in stock).
This line item can often be the decisive factor when an order can only be shipped partially.

Orange.png

Not pickable (red)
There is not enough stock in the selected warehouse for this line item. Until this changes, this line item cannot be picked.

Line items marked gray
These line items do not need to be picked (any more) or should not be shipped at the moment. This happens, for example, when:

  • the order has already been completed and fully shipped

  • the line item has been returned

  • the line item is fulfilled externally

Products without stock management and bundle parents (product set parents) are always displayed as pickable, since they do not need their own stock for shipping.

Note: In the WMS App, you additionally only see orders that meet the conditions of the selected picking profile. If a pickable order is missing in the app, it often does not match the picking profile, see How do I set up picking profiles?.
