How can I put picking processes that were cancelled back into stock?

If you cancel a picking process, you can put the products that were already picked directly back into stock. To do this, a putaway process is automatically started, which you can use to reverse the picking process you started.

After cancelling the picking process, the following view opens with two options for how to proceed.

Option 1: Start putaway

This starts the putaway process immediately. You can put the products directly back onto their storage bins.

This function is especially helpful if you frequently need to cancel identical picking processes or if you usually put items back onto the same storage bin.

Option 2: Put away later

Here, the putaway process is created with the status Deferred and a corresponding document is created. You can then find it under Goods receipt in the Deferred tab. You can start it there at a later time.

The Put away completely option is only available if you have the permission Put away putaway process completely. You can grant this permission in the Pickware Admin under Settings → Users & permissions. Select the corresponding role here and scroll to the Pickware WMS section.

Stock is stuck in a picking crate

If a product can't be picked in the WMS App because the stock shown there is 0, or if your stock isn't correct and stock is tied up in a picking crate even though no picking process appears to be open anymore, this is usually caused by a cancelled process where Put away later was selected. The corresponding putaway process is then still pending, and the stock hasn't been booked back to the storage bin yet.

In the stock overview, you can see which picking crate the stock is tied up in and jump from there to the corresponding process.

To release the stock again, process the open putaway process under Goods receipt in the Deferred tab (see Option 2 above). After that, the picking crate disappears and the stock becomes available again.
