Austrian Post Adapter Plugin Configuration

You can find the plugin configuration in your backend under Customers → Austrian Post → Configuration. Using the Shop field at the very top of the configuration, you can select the subshop for which you want to make the settings.

Sender Data & Access Data

  • Sender Data – Enter the salutation, name, street and house number, postal code, city, and country of the sender address in the following fields.

  • Client ID – The Client ID is your customer number with Austrian Post. You receive this on request from Austrian Post.

  • OrgUnit ID – You receive the OrgUnit ID, sometimes also called department ID, on request from Austrian Post.

  • Organisation Unique ID – The Organisation Unique ID is the GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) that is unique to the respective customer. You receive the Organisation Unique ID, sometimes also called OrgUnitGUID, on request from Austrian Post.

Email Notifications from Austrian Post to the Customer

  • Transmit customer phone number to Austrian Post – Specify whether the customer's phone number should be transmitted to Austrian Post.

  • Transmit customer email address to Austrian Post – Specify whether the customer's email address should be transmitted to Austrian Post. You can find more information on this here.

Weight Determination

  • Default weight in kilograms – The default weight used for Austrian Post shipments if no weight is defined for any item in a shipment or if automatic weight calculation is disabled.

  • Calculate package weight automatically – If this field is enabled, the weights of the shipments are calculated automatically based on the weights of the items contained and the percentage and fixed surcharges.

  • Percentage weight surcharge for filling material – Percentage weight surcharge for filling material based on the sum of the item weights, if automatic weight calculation is enabled.

  • Weight surcharge for packaging material in kilograms – Fixed weight surcharge in kilograms for packaging material, if automatic weight calculation is enabled.

Customs Information for International Shipments (to Non-EU Countries)

  • Content description for export – The short description shown in the export documents for a shipment. It should roughly describe the items contained. This description is necessary in order to automatically generate an export document for international shipments, which is transmitted electronically by Austrian Post to the relevant customs authorities. For example, if you run a shop for T-shirts, enter something like "T-shirts" here, or more generally "clothing".

Print Settings

  • Paper layout – Specify the size of the shipping label PDFs here. The formats A5 and A6 are available.

Shipping Label Settings

  • Show salutation on shipping labels – Here you can select whether the recipient's salutation should also be printed on the shipping label.
