In the WMS App, you can use the Products and bin locations mode to view relevant product information and an overview of which products are stored in each bin location. You can open the Products and bin locations view via the app menu at the top left.
View products per bin location
Scan a bin location label or tap Select bin location and then enter the warehouse zone and bin location to get to the overview of all products stored there. Using Move at the top right, you can move all products in the bin location to a different bin location.
If the bin location you are looking for does not exist yet, you can create it right here without leaving the view. In the Bin locations tab, you will find the row Create new bin location above the list. If you have already entered a label in the search, it will be carried over when you create the bin location. The bin location is created in the warehouse that is selected in the title bar at the top. After it is created, the detail view of the new bin location opens right away.
The row is only displayed if your user has the permission to create bin locations.
The process works the same way as moving entire bin locations via the Stock movements mode and is described here.
View product properties
To view the properties of a product, either scan the respective product label or tap Select product and search for the product using the keyboard.
Here you see the manufacturer, name, and weight, as well as the purchase price and selling price. By tapping the respective button, you can switch between gross and net price. In the Stock section, you see how many units of the product are stored in which bin locations per warehouse zone. If you tap one of the bin locations, you get to the overview of all products stored there.
While the product information is displayed, you can directly scan the label of another product — the display then switches to that product without you having to navigate back to the start view.
Edit product master data
Using the Edit button at the top right in the navigation bar of the product detail view, you can adjust product master data directly in the WMS App.
The following fields are available in the edit sheet:
EAN — Scan the EAN or enter it manually. Using the add button, you can also assign multiple EANs to a product.
Weight (kg) — Weight of the product, accurate to 3 decimal places.
Length (cm), Width (cm), Height (cm) — Dimensions of the product with one decimal place. The values are entered in centimeters.
Default bin locations — Here you can set or change the default bin location of the product for each warehouse. If you operate multiple warehouses, a separate row appears for each warehouse.
Tap Save to save the changes. The updated values are applied immediately in the product detail view and are also available right away in the Pickware Admin.
Note: Product properties that are transferred from Shopify via product import are overwritten again during the next import. If you want to maintain weight and dimensions permanently in the app, exclude the corresponding fields in the configuration of the product import. You can find more information here.
To edit product master data, the user needs the permission Edit product master data. This permission is enabled by default and also includes editing the EAN.
Store, remove, or move products
Using the Edit button in the lower area of the product detail view, you can store, remove, or move products. The process works the same way as moving individual products via the Stock movements mode and is described here.
