Here is a suggested approach if you want to quickly transfer products from multiple bin locations at once using the WMS App. It makes sense to use bin location labels for this.
First, you need a suitable container, a trolley, or something similar that acts as an intermediate bin location. In Pickware Admin, create a new bin location for your intermediate bin location and create a bin location label.
Next, move through your warehouse, take the desired products from their original bin location, and place them on your trolley or similar. At the same time, carry out a stock transfer in the WMS App for each one using the Stock movement function. By scanning the bin locations with the scanner, you save yourself from searching for the bin locations manually.
In the last step, transfer all products that are now on the intermediate bin location to their final bin location in the same way.
When you are done, switch to the Products and bin locations mode via the app menu and scan the label of your intermediate bin location. This lets you check whether any products are still incorrectly listed there in the system.
Transfer large quantities via CSV
If you need to move many products at once, for example for a supplier return or a trade fair warehouse, transferring via CSV is faster than any individual stock movement.
This also works across warehouses as a relative stock import: For each product, you need one row with a positive quantity for the destination bin location and one counter row with a negative quantity for the source bin location. To learn how to create and import the file, see How do I book stock in or out via CSV?.
Tip: Pickware AI can generate the transfer file for you.
