With the WMS App, you count the stocktake directly in the warehouse and scan bin location and product labels as you go. This is the fastest way if your bin locations are labeled. A prerequisite is that the stocktake for the warehouse has already been started in the Shopware Admin. Otherwise, the app shows a notice.
Start counting in the WMS App
In the WMS App, open the menu item Stocktake. You have two options: Select bin location for counting per bin location or Count products in warehouse for products without a fixed bin location. If you work without bin locations and your entire stock is on Unknown, always choose the second option.
Whether the app shows the expected quantity while counting is set in the WMS settings of your Shopware Admin. Without the display, your employees count without being influenced.
Note: The filters you can set when counting in the Shopware Admin (category, manufacturer, tag) only apply there. They are not available in the WMS App.
Counting per bin location
First scan the label of the bin location or select the bin location from the list. Then scan or search for the products on this bin location and enter the quantity. If you find a product that, according to Pickware, is not located there, simply scan it as well. This also works if it has no stock anywhere in the warehouse. You create labels for bin locations as described in How do I create labels for my bin locations?
Attention: If you record the same product on the same bin location a second time, the new amount overwrites the old one. If you first counted 3 units and find 2 more, you therefore enter 5, not 2.
A counted bin location is considered fully counted. Products that, according to Pickware, are located there but that you do not record are saved with 0 and booked to a stock of 0 when you finish. This also applies to inactive products. More on this in What happens to products that I do not count on a bin location?
In the bin location list, the filter Last counted more than hides bin locations that have already been counted within the selected time range. The options are 10 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. Bin locations that have never been counted always remain visible, and scanning and search work independently of the filter. The filter is off by default and is saved per warehouse.
Count products in the warehouse without a fixed bin location
With Count products in warehouse, you scan or search for the products without selecting a bin location beforehand. The counts are placed on the bin location Unknown. Other products on Unknown are not automatically saved with 0 in the process.
Attention: Unlike counting per bin location, multiple counts are added together here. If you first count 3 and later 2 more units, 5 units end up in the stocktake. If you accidentally count a product twice in full, it appears twice. If in doubt, check in the Shopware Admin on the Counted tab what has already been recorded.
If a product is located in several places in the warehouse, count all places one after another and only pick it again afterwards, see What do I need to keep in mind during an ongoing stocktake?
After counting
Every count in the WMS App is saved immediately and appears in the Shopware Admin under Warehousing › Stocktake on the Counted tab. There you review the counts, correct them if needed, and finish the stocktake. How this works is described in Correcting stocktake counts and adding products afterwards and in the overall stocktake process.
