Is Pickware POS compliant with KassenSichV?

Under the KassenSichV, all cash registers must be equipped with a so-called technical security device (TSE) starting March 31, 2021. Pickware therefore works together with the cloud solution from fiskaly to meet these legal requirements.

The certification process has now been completed, and fiskaly is currently the first and only cloud TSE to receive the full certificate term until 2029. For you, this means that you can process payments with the Pickware cash register system in full compliance with KassenSichV until 2029, without having to worry about applying for a deadline extension from the tax office.

You can view and download fiskaly's certificates here. You can also find more information on KassenSichV in our blog posts (here and here).

What do I need to do as a cash register system user?

To use the POS App, you need to log in with your Pickware account. As soon as you set up a store location in Germany in the app, it is also reported to fiskaly, and you will receive an email to set up your fiskaly account. With your account, you can log in to the fiskaly Dashboard to view your registered store locations, cash registers, and completed transactions. As soon as your fiskaly account is set up, the receipts you create are automatically certified. You can find a detailed description of the setup process here as part of the app setup.

How does the certification with fiskaly work?

The recording begins as soon as the payment process at the checkout is initiated. Created receipts are then automatically provided with a QR code and additional information for the tax office. Only the payment method and the individual partial amounts per tax rate are recorded, but not information about the products sold.

What happens if fiskaly experiences an outage?

Should the fiskaly service ever experience an outage, receipts will be issued without certification during that time. This does not create any additional work for you, as manual re-recording is not required.
