Is Pickware POS KassenSichV-compliant?

Shopware 6 — Pickware POS is fully KassenSichV-compliant thanks to fiskaly's cloud solution, with no extension needed until 2029.

Under the KassenSichV, all cash registers must be equipped with a so-called technical security system (TSE) from 31.03.2021. Our cash register system Pickware POS therefore works together with the cloud solution from fiskaly to meet these legal requirements. With Pickware POS and fiskaly, you can operate fully KassenSichV-compliant until 2029 without having to apply for an extension from the tax office.

You can view and download the fiskaly certificates here. You can also find additional information about the KassenSichV in our blog posts (here and here).

What do I have to do as a POS user?

To use the POS App, you need a Pickware account. Your company master data and all your branch stores are stored in this account.

As soon as a branch store is located in Germany, it is reported to fiskaly and you receive an email to set up your fiskaly account. With your account, you can log in to the fiskaly Dashboard to view your registered branch stores, cash registers, and completed transactions. As soon as your fiskaly account is set up, the documents you create are certified automatically. You can find the detailed setup process described here as part of the app setup.

How does certification with fiskaly work?

Recording begins as soon as the payment process is initiated at the cash register. Documents you create are then automatically provided with a QR code and further information for the tax office. Only the payment method and the individual partial amounts per tax rate are recorded, but no information about the products sold.

What happens if fiskaly goes down?

If the fiskaly service goes down, documents are issued without certification during this time. This causes you no additional effort, as manual re-recording is not required.

At the cash register, you can recognize an outage by a message such as "TSE deaktiviert" (TSE deactivated) or "TSE temporär ausgefallen" (TSE temporarily unavailable). You can see whether there is currently a disruption at fiskaly on the fiskaly status page. Keep the documents from this period.

To find out what you can do if the message persists even after the disruption has ended, see What do I do if "TSE deaktiviert" or "TSE temporär ausgefallen" appears at the cash register?
