To create shipping labels with Sendcloud directly from your Pickware Admin, you first need to configure a few settings.
Sendcloud offers its own native integration for Shopify. If you activate this in parallel with the Pickware connection, your orders will be imported into Sendcloud twice. Therefore, use either the native Shopify connection or the connection via Pickware – not both at the same time.
Registering with Sendcloud
To use Sendcloud in Pickware, you first need an account with Sendcloud. For the configuration in Pickware, you need a Public Key and a Secret Key. To obtain these, proceed as follows:
Log in to the Sendcloud Dashboard.
Open the menu in the top right and navigate to General → Integrations.
In the Sendcloud API tile, click Connect.Enter any name here and click Save to generate the Public Key and Secret Key.
Sendcloud configuration in the Pickware Admin
Now switch to your Pickware Admin and navigate to Settings → Extensions → Sendcloud. In the Sendcloud credentials section, you can now enter the Public Key and Secret Key and optionally have your entry checked by clicking on Check Sendcloud credentials at the top. Then save your entries.
Privacy settings
All privacy settings can be adjusted directly in the Sendcloud Dashboard.
Configuring shipping methods and shipping rules
In your Pickware Admin under Settings → Shop → Shipping, you can now select the Sendcloud entry in the Shipping carrier section.
The assignment of which Sendcloud shipping product is used when creating a shipping label is then done via the shipping rules in your Sendcloud Dashboard.
To configure the shipping rules, switch back to the Sendcloud Dashboard and click on the Shipping rules entry in the Shipping section on the right in the menu to create rules. Combine the shipping country condition with the shipping method to create rules such as: "If shipping to Germany or Austria, then ship with DHL".
For this, it's sufficient to list the shipping countries in the condition using the or operator. For special rules with very specific requirements, you should use the Technical name.
Instead of DPD Classic 5-10 kg, you can choose any other shipping product from the list. You can also add further conditions.
Sendcloud always applies shipping rules from top to bottom. Rules further up are therefore checked and applied first. Subsequent rules can override this selection or not take effect at all. Therefore, make sure to place more specific rules above general rules.
Using the technical name
With every order, the technical name of your shipping method is automatically transmitted to Sendcloud. This can also be used in shipping rules.
You can find the technical name in the settings of the respective shipping method at the top in the Basic information section.
The technical name becomes useful when you need precise 1:1 communication between a Pickware shipping method and a specific Sendcloud rule.
Typical examples of this are different shipping carriers per shipping method, different label settings per carrier, or special routing cases for WMS App-specific processes.
Viewing shipping labels
In the Sendcloud Dashboard, at the top under Shipping, you'll find all created, shipped, and canceled shipping labels in the respective tabs.
