To be able to create shipping labels with DSV directly from your Pickware Admin, you first need to make a few settings.
Registration with DSV
If you haven't already, first create an account with DSV.
How do I enable my MyDSV account for the API?
If you can't log in to Pickware with your MyDSV credentials, your account is probably not yet enabled for using the DSV API.
To be able to use your credentials in Pickware, your MyDSV account first needs to be registered for the API by the DSV Developer Support.
How does the onboarding process work?
Send an email to [email protected] briefly asking for your MyDSV account to be enabled for the DSV Shipping API, and include the key details such as company name, customer number, contact person, and your MyDSV username. This email automatically creates a ticket with DSV Developer Support.
DSV Support will reply with a form in which you need to provide the following details:
your MyDSV credentials
your company and contact person
the desired API product (e.g. Shipping API)
any additional basic information, if required
Fill out the form and send it back. If you're using Pickware, you can refer to our existing developer account. So keep the following in mind when filling it out:
In the Developer Portal user account field under API system account, enter the email address [email protected].
In the myDSV user account field, enter your own MyDSV credentials.
Select Road as the Mode of Transport.
For API subscriptions, select Booking, Labels, and Tracking.
Once DSV approves your request, your MyDSV account will be activated for the API. You'll then receive a confirmation by email.
After that, you can enter your MyDSV credentials directly in Pickware under Settings → Extensions → DSV → DSV credentials.
DSV settings
Before configuring the settings for DSV, make sure you've already made the general settings that apply to all shipping providers. You'll find them under Settings → Extensions → General shipping label settings. These settings apply to all shipping providers you use. You can find all the details here.
The settings specific to DSV shipping can be found under Settings → Extensions → DSV.
Sales Channel
Here you can specify which of your connected Shopify stores ("Sales Channels") the following settings should apply to. By default, the settings apply to all connected stores. If you only have one Shopify store connected to this Pickware Admin, still select the All Sales Channels option. If you select a specific store, all fields are initially linked to the general settings. You can tell by the chain icon and the greyed-out fields. Click the icon to break the link and make individual settings, while other fields remain linked. |
DSV credentials
Enter the username, password, and customer number for DSV here. If you want to use the test environment instead of the production environment, enable Use testing web service.
Settings within the shipping method
If you select DSV as the shipping provider for a shipping method under Settings → Shop → Shipping, you can make further settings for the shipping labels. Below you'll find the specifics for shipping with DSV:
Product – Currently, the extension only supports the Road product
B2CService – This option must be enabled if you're shipping to private customers. This service is only available within Germany.
Goods description (Package description) / Incoterm – These fields must be filled in.
