How can I customize my Shopify Sales Channel?

You can customize the name of your Shopify Sales Channel. This is helpful, for example, if you'd rather use a clear name instead of the standard Shopify URL (myshopify.com) in email templates or internal configurations.

Changing the name in Shopify

To do this, navigate to Settings in your Shopify Admin. Then go to GeneralStore details and use the pencil button to change your store's name.

Changing the name in Pickware Admin

If you change your store name here, it will automatically be adopted in Pickware Admin. You can also apply the change manually with the push of a button. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. In Pickware Admin, open the corresponding Shopify Sales Channel under Sales Channels.

  2. In the General → Basic settings section, click on the Name field.

  3. Apply your store name from the Shopify Admin using the highlighted button.

You can also change and save the name directly in Pickware. However, this change will not be synced back to Shopify — the store name in Shopify remains unchanged.

Going forward, the specified name will be used as the display name for your Shopify store in Pickware, including in automatically generated emails and documents. This makes your store identity even more consistent.

If you use Elasticsearch, changing the Sales Channel name will trigger a rebuild of the search indexes for orders, products, and customers.
This can take several hours. During this time, not all search results may be displayed for the new name.
