Note: This article describes the stock logic without locations. If you can manage multiple locations in the Pickware Admin under Warehousing → Locations, see Locations and fulfillment orders with Pickware instead.
To sync stock between Shopify and Pickware, you need to link a Shopify location with Pickware. In this article, you will learn how to select and change the location to be linked and what effects this has.
Where can I configure the Shopify location?
When you link your Shopify shop with the Pickware Admin for the first time, the default location is selected automatically. You can set the default location in the Shopify Admin under Settings → Locations → Default location.
To select a different Shopify location in the Pickware Admin, open the Sales Channel settings and navigate to the Stock sync tab. Under Connected Shopify location, select the desired entry.
What do I need to keep in mind when changing the location?
The new location is used for all new stock movements that are synced between Pickware and Shopify. The stock in the previously connected Shopify location is not moved automatically by this change, so you should manually remove or move it in Shopify beforehand.

Using multiple shops in one Pickware Admin
With Pickware Professional, you can also use multiple Shopify shops within the same Pickware Admin. Each of them is then created as its own Sales Channel, and you can store a separate Shopify location for each of these Sales Channels.
Using multiple Shopify locations
Without locations, you can connect exactly one Shopify location per Sales Channel to Pickware. Although you can create and use multiple warehouses in the Pickware Admin, stock is always synced to the linked Shopify location. One possible workaround is to create multiple bin locations with appropriate names, for example if you want to represent a returns warehouse or a separate warehouse for Shopify POS in Pickware.
You can use multiple Shopify locations with locations in Pickware. This is possible from the Professional plan onwards. You set up a second location together with Pickware Support. Guide: How do I set up a second location? describes how the setup works.
