Using the Rules Builder, you can create rules that automatically control a wide range of business processes in your shop.
Create a new rule
You'll find the Rule Builder under Settings → Shop → Rule Builder. Click Create rule there. The following settings are available:
In the General section, you define the basic settings. Every rule needs a Name. For better traceability, you can add a short explanation of what the rule does in the Description field.
The Priority field determines which rule is applied first if multiple rules apply: the higher the value, the earlier the rule is taken into account.
Rules can be used for shipping methods, payment methods, prices, and in the Flow Builder. If you want to restrict this, select in the Type field which areas the rule should be available for. Without a selection, the rule can be used universally.
In the Conditions section, you define the rule itself. A rule can consist of one or more containers. Each container can in turn contain multiple conditions, including nested sub-conditions. Containers, conditions, and sub-conditions can each be linked with AND or OR.
Click Browse conditions to select a condition. Depending on the condition, different operators are available to you. This allows you to flexibly map individual rules.
Example
In this case, a simple rule was created to filter shipping methods (here, the shipping method for picking up Click & Collect orders). This is then used in a flow to automatically send pickup notifications as soon as the orders are ready for pickup.
Check rule assignments
When you open an existing rule, you'll find the Assignments tab next to the General tab. There you can see where the rule in question is used.
Delete rules
You can delete rules in the rule overview via the context menu. Note, however, that rules that are still in use cannot be deleted. In that case, you'll receive a corresponding message indicating where the rule is still being used. Once you've removed the rule assignment from the relevant places, you can delete it.
