How are product sets displayed in the online shop and in the cart?

Shopware 6 — Product sets appear in the shop as regular products. Customers only see the included items if you list them in the product description.

Within an order, you can recognize a product set by the button next to its name. Click it to see the assigned products and quantities.

The assigned products appear in the order as separate line items at €0 below the product set line item. You can change their quantity or remove them individually, for example in the case of an exchange.

Product sets from the customer's perspective

In your online shop and at the cash register, the product set is still displayed as a regular product. If you want to let your customers know which products are included in the set, you need to add this to the product description. The availability of the product set is calculated based on the availability of the assigned products.

On invoices, cancellation invoices, invoice corrections, and e-invoices, Pickware by default only shows the product set and not the assigned products. If you want to show the assigned products on invoices, cancellation invoices, and invoice corrections, go to Settings → Extensions → Pickware ERP, and in the Product sets on documents card, turn on the Show sub-items of product sets on invoices switch. E-invoices always show only the product set. If you can't find the card, update Pickware ERP.

Even if the product set is a variant product, it is displayed in the online shop and in the cart as a regular product from the customer's perspective. In other words, it is not displayed differently just because it is a variant.

If you want to show your customers which products are included in the set, you need to add this information to the product description of the respective product set or variant. To learn how to create and manage product sets, see How can I create & manage product sets?

Product sets in the cart and checkout

The cart only contains the product set product itself. Pickware splits the product set into the assigned products only after the order is completed. Until then, Shopware treats the product set like a regular item. This affects weight, shipping costs, and delivery time.

Weight and shipping costs

For shipping costs, the weight stored on the product set product itself counts. It is not calculated from the assigned products. Therefore, maintain the weight on the product set product.

For the shipping label, on the other hand, the weight of the assigned products counts, not that of the product set product. You can check this when creating the shipping label under Create shipping labels in the line items.

Delivery time and restocking time

You maintain the delivery time and restocking time in the default Shopware fields on the product set product. For many product sets, you can do this via bulk edit or via import/export.
