Switching from another shop system or ERP to Pickware happens in several steps. The goal is to transfer existing shop and inventory management data in a structured way and then set up Pickware correctly.
Migration from Xentral
Migration to Shopware 6
Pickware is used in combination with Shopware 6. A prerequisite for the migration is therefore first switching to this shop system. For the migration to Shopware 6, you can use Shopware's official migration guides.
In this step, only the shop data (e.g. customers, orders, products) is transferred to the new shop system. The migration of the inventory management data follows afterwards.
Exporting the relevant data from Xentral
In the next step, the master and company data relevant to Pickware, such as products, suppliers, storage bins, etc., are exported from the previous system.
Xentral provides its own guides and export functions for exporting this data. The corresponding documentation describes which data can be exported and in what format.
Importing the data and setting up Pickware
After the export, the data is imported into Pickware and the basic settings are configured. The procedure is based on existing Pickware migration guides.
Final review
After completing the migration, you should carefully check the transferred data:
Are stock levels and storage bins correct?
Are products assigned correctly?
Do processes such as goods receipt, picking, and shipping work as expected?
