Registration with DHL

DHL Business Customer Portal

To use the DHL Adapter, you need access to the DHL Business Customer Portal. If you ship 200 or more national and/or international packages per year, you can request access quickly and easily here.

Important: Shipping via DHL Intraship is not possible with the DHL Adapter.

DHL Express Global Web Services (GloWS)

To also process DHL Express shipments through the DHL Adapter, you need to be activated for DHL Express Global Web Services (GloWS). To request activation, please contact DHL Express Sales.

Note: Be sure to mention the keyword “Global Web Services” in your request so that your message reaches the correct department at DHL Express. Also mention that you are using the official Shopware DHL Adapter, which has already been generally approved by DHL Express.

The following credentials are required for the configuration of the plugin:

  • DHL Express customer number (9 digits)

  • DHL Express username

  • DHL Express password

Note: If you only have a 14-digit billing number for DHL Express, please contact DHL Express Sales to obtain a 9-digit DHL Express customer number.

DHL Returns

On March 1, 2020, the former returns portal was integrated into DHL's business customer portal. To use the returns function, a separate activation by DHL is required, which should already have been carried out for most customers. You can tell whether you are activated by, among other things, whether the corresponding Retoure (Returns) menu item is displayed in the business customer portal. In addition, you will also receive an error message if you try to create a return label without activation. In this case, please contact DHL by phone to get activated:

  • German: 0228 - 76 36 76 79 (option 2)

  • English: 0228 - 76 36 76 59 (option 2)
