Before connecting your POS Standscanner to your cash drawer or receipt printer, be sure to check the firmware version of your receipt printer. To update the firmware of your receipt printer, proceed as follows:
Install the app Star Quick Setup Utility from the App Store on your iPad.
Tap Selected Printer and select your receipt printer. To do this, it must be connected to your iPad via Bluetooth.
In the Printer Settings menu, you'll find the Other section at the very bottom, and in it the entry Firmware Update.
Here you can see which firmware version is currently installed. To install a different version, select the file to be installed under File Name and tap Update in the bottom right corner.
