What can I do if the WMS App is slow or can't connect to the shop?

Test with a hotspot and check the server and shop URL if the WMS App is slow or loses its connection with Shopware 6.

If the WMS App is slow or the connection to the shop drops, the cause is usually the Wi-Fi in your warehouse or your shop's server. The WMS App communicates directly with your shop's Shopware API, without an intermediate server. How fast it responds therefore depends on the shop server.

Test with a mobile hotspot

As a test, connect the device through a mobile hotspot instead of the Wi-Fi in the warehouse. If the app runs fine then, the problem lies in the Wi-Fi or the internet connection of the warehouse, for example the router or the provider.

Messages like URLSessionTask failed, a timeout (error -1001) or an aborted network connection (error -1005) mean that the connection between the device and the shop could not be established or was interrupted. This can be caused by the Wi-Fi, but also by the server.

Have the server and database checked

If the app stays slow even over the hotspot, the cause is your shop's server or database. Typical signs are long response times from the shop or database errors such as Lock wait timeout exceeded. In this case, ask your hosting provider to check the server and database. If your shop uses MariaDB, please also contact our support.

Connection to the shop failed

If the app reports Verbindung mit dem Shop fehlgeschlagen (connection to the shop failed), first test the connection through a mobile hotspot.

Send device logs

If you can't find the cause, upload the device logs right after the error occurs and contact our support. You can find out how in How can I send an error report from the apps?
