With Pickware, you can store two types of instructions for your warehouse staff, both for orders and for individual products: a picking instruction and a packing instruction.
The picking instruction appears on the picklist and, if you use Pickware WMS, in the picking flow of the WMS App. The packing instruction appears instead in the packing/shipping flow of the WMS App. This way, you record per order what your team should pay attention to when packing, for example "no parcel insert" or another note for packing.
Below, we show you where you can store the instructions for orders.
Storing instructions
For example, you can store a picking instruction directly when you create the picklist. To do so, open the Documents tab in the order, click Create new document and select the document type Picklist. You can store the comment in the Picking instruction field.
Alternatively, navigate to the Detail tab in the order. In the Custom fields section, you will find the Instructions tab and there the fields Picking instruction and Packing instruction. Enter the desired instruction in each field and save the order.
If you have already created a picklist, you need to create a new one so that the picking instruction is visible there. Please also note that the order language of the documents must match the language of the product for the picking instruction to be displayed.

You can view the picking instruction for a product by tapping the yellow icon next to the product's stock.
In the packing/shipping flow of the WMS App, the packing instruction is displayed at this spot instead.
Where do I see the picking instruction for the order in the WMS App?
Where the picking instruction of an order appears in the WMS App depends on the picking type:
Single picking: You will find the picking instruction for the order in the order information.
Batch picking: Use the menu at the top right to open the Information for the order. There, the instruction is listed under the entry Picking instructions. It is only displayed once an order has been assigned to the picking box.
Cluster picking: Tap the three-dot menu at the top right and tap Info, select the order, and tap Info there again.
Tip: If a particular item in an order should not be shipped, you can store this as a picking instruction on the order. This works as long as the item has no shipped amounts yet.
