To synchronize inventory between Shopify and Pickware, you need to link a Shopify location to Pickware. In this article, you'll learn how to select and change the linked location and what effects this has.

When you link your Shopify shop with Pickware Admin for the first time, the default location is selected automatically. You can set the default location in the Shopify Admin under Settings → Locations → Default location.

To select a different Shopify location in Pickware Admin, open the sales channel settings and navigate to the Inventory sync tab. Under Connected Shopify location, select the entry you want.

The new location is used for all new inventory movements synchronized between Pickware and Shopify. The stock at the previously connected Shopify location is not automatically transferred as a result of this change, so you should manually remove or transfer it in Shopify beforehand.

With Pickware Professional, you can also use multiple Shopify shops within the same Pickware Admin. Each of these is then set up as its own Sales Channel, so you can assign a separate Shopify location for each of these Sales Channels.

Currently, it's only possible to connect one Shopify location per Sales Channel in Pickware. In the future, this will also be possible for multiple Shopify locations. Until then, you can create and use multiple warehouses in Pickware Admin, but the inventory will always be synchronized to the connected Shopify location. A possible workaround is to create multiple bin locations with appropriate names, for example if you want to represent a returns warehouse or a separate warehouse for Shopify POS in Pickware.
