With Pickware, you can add pick instructions for your warehouse staff for both orders and individual products. This information then appears on the picklist and, if you use Pickware WMS, also in the WMS App. Below we show you where you can add pick instructions for orders.

You can add a pick instruction directly in your Shopify Admin for each order. To do this, find the Metafields section within an order, and there the field Pick instruction (Pickware). The comment entered here is also transferred to Pickware and taken into account there when creating the picklist.

You can also have the field filled in automatically, for example via Shopify Flow.

To do this, you may first need to extend Pickware's permissions. To do so, in your Pickware Admin, go to the Sales Channels section, click on your Shopify shop, and then click on Extend permissions in the Permissions tab. You will then be automatically taken to the correct location within your Shopify Admin, where you need to confirm the extension of permissions once more.

If you have already added a pick instruction in your Shopify Admin, the relevant field will already be pre-filled when creating the picklist in the Pickware Admin.

You can, for example, add a pick instruction directly while creating the picklist. To do this, open the Documents tab, click on Create new document, and select the document type Picklist. In the Pick instruction field, you can enter the comment.

Alternatively, navigate to the Details tab within the order. In the Additional fields section, you'll find the Pick instruction tab and, within it, the field of the same name. Enter the desired pick instruction there and save the order.

If you have already created a picklist, you need to create a new one for the pick instruction to become visible there. Please also note that the order language of the documents must match the language of the product in order for the pick instruction to be displayed.

You can view the pick instruction for a product by tapping on the yellow icon next to the product's stock level.
