Installing Pickware
To start the 30-day trial for Pickware in your Shopware 6 shop, you need a Pickware Account and the installed Pickware extension. You can start the connection process from two sides.
In general, you can install Pickware via your Shopware Admin or via Composer. Once you have decided on one method, the extensions must be updated and uninstalled the same way. Below you will find the instructions for installing via the Shopware Admin. All information on the Composer instructions can be found in a separate article.
Starting from your Shopware Admin
This is the simplest and recommended way to try out Pickware.
Download the free Pickware extension from the Shopware Store and install it in your Shopware Admin.
Once you have installed Pickware, a pop-up window appears when you open your Shopware Admin. Alternatively, you will find a corresponding tile if you scroll down a bit on your dashboard. Start the connection process by clicking the Connect now button.
In the next step, you create a Pickware Account. A trial license is created automatically and assigned to your shop.
Note: If you already have an account, you can also log in at this point. In that case, please contact our support afterwards so that we can activate your trial.
Your Shopware 6 shop and your Pickware extension are now connected, and you can start the trial. Under Settings → Pickware you can see further information about your current plan. Via the Change plan & device licenses button, you go directly to your Pickware Account.
Alternatively: Starting from your Pickware Account
If you already have a Pickware Account, you can also use this route.
Log in to your existing Pickware Account.
In the tile Test Pickware in another shop, click Test now.
Select the option for Shopware 6.
In the next step, enter the URL of your shop and complete the process.
Now switch to your Shopware 6 Admin and install the Pickware extension there from the Shopware 6 Store.
A pop-up then opens. Click Connect now there and then Confirm to complete the connection and start the trial.
What should I do if the connection to the Pickware Account does not work?
If connecting to your Pickware Account fails, the cause is often the APP_URL of your shop. Typical messages are 404 No route found …/pickware-oidc/callback, redirect URI is missing in the session or The shop URL does not match the Pickware plugin license.
The APP_URL is located in the .env or .env.local file of your shop. It determines the address that the Pickware Account redirects back to after you log in. It must therefore match your shop domain exactly:
With or without
www, exactly as your shop is accessedWithout a trailing slash
Without
/publicand without subfoldersWithout remnants of a previous domain
Once you have corrected the APP_URL, connect the extension again.
When connecting, log in with the Pickware Account that your shop is assigned to. If your shop's domain is assigned to a different Pickware Account, for example your agency's account, contact Support.
Booking a plan and licenses (POS/WMS)
To book plans and licenses, log in to your Pickware Account and select the menu item Billing → Plan & device licenses .
First, choose between monthly and annual payment.
Then decide on one of our plans. You can find an overview of all features here.
Now select how many licenses you need for WMS and/or POS. One license is required per WMS scanner and per cash register.
The numbers shown represent the total number of your WMS/POS licenses. So if you want to add one license, click the + once.
The total price is now displayed at the bottom. Click Proceed to checkout to complete your booking. If needed, you can find an overview of prices here.
In the next step, if you have not done so yet, you need to enter a billing address and select a payment method. Finally, click Subscribe now.
When you book a WMS/POS license, we follow your current payment model. So if you pay annually for your WMS licenses and add another one, this will also be an annual license. If you are interested in short-term licenses (for example for a trade fair), please contact our Support.
Setting up WMS and POS in the Shopware Admin
As soon as you have booked a license for POS or WMS, the corresponding features are unlocked in your Shopware Admin. Before you set up the associated apps, please check the respective settings in the Shopware Admin. Additional information can be found in these articles:
Installing and setting up the WMS and POS App
You can download the associated apps for WMS and POS from the App Store. For both apps, you need an Apple device that supports at least iOS 15. Additional information about additional hardware can be found here:
You can then set up the apps.
For POS, there are some special considerations due to the legally required fiscalization if you want to use the app for sales from Germany or Austria. There is therefore a separate guide for each of these cases.
This section applies to the WMS App and the POS App for iOS. If you use the individual Pickware extensions and need the extensions Pickware WMS or Pickware POS as a ZIP file for your shop, you download them in the Pickware Account under WMS or POS → Downloads. The process is described in How do I install updates for Pickware POS and Pickware WMS?
