Managing Barcodes

To be able to scan all products with the barcode scanner at the POS and/or in the warehouse, you first need to enter the barcodes of the respective products into Shopware, or create your own product labels including barcodes, based on the Shopware product numbers. Pickware POS and WMS support the most common barcode types, including EAN8, EAN13, GTIN, UPC-A, UPC-E and Code128.

Note: 2D barcodes, so-called QR codes, are not supported.

If you use Pickware WMS

With Pickware WMS, you can capture the EANs of your products directly by scanning them via the WMS App. You can find more information about this in this article.

Alternative without Pickware WMS

If you're not yet working with Pickware WMS, you can enter the barcodes for individual products in the product details, in the Settings section in the Shopware backend, or import them for all products at once via the Shopware Import/Export module.

Creating your own barcodes

For products without a manufacturer EAN, you can use our label configurator to create product labels with your own barcodes. You can find more information about this here.
