EU-wide delivery threshold

As of plugin version 1.32.0, the EU-wide delivery threshold that has been in effect since 01.07.2021 is supported. In addition, a new report called Delivery threshold (DATEV) has been added under Marketing → Reports. You can find all the information about the new delivery threshold in our blog post.

To be able to use the delivery thresholds, you need to carry out the following steps:

1. Enter the delivery threshold
In the plugin configuration, under Delivery threshold for "Rest of the EU", you can enter the value at which the delivery threshold is reached. Also, under Settings → Basic settings → Shop settings → Countries, enable the field Tax-free for businesses for all EU countries, so that orders from business customers are not booked to the delivery threshold account. For this distinction to work correctly, make sure that all business customers have a VAT ID stored in their customer data.

2. Configure the delivery threshold warning
Also in the plugin configuration, you'll find the field Show delivery threshold warning from (in %), where you can enter the percentage of the delivery threshold at which a notice should be displayed in the Shopware backend. Now select the option Yes in the field Delivery threshold warning for "Rest of the EU" to receive the warning once the percentage specified above is reached.

Note: The following steps 3-5 should only be carried out once the delivery threshold has actually been reached, since from the moment of setup, the accounts you enter will be used for every transaction that goes to the specified country and has the specified tax rate.

3. Store the tax rates
Now go to Settings Basic settings → Shop settings → Taxes and add the corresponding tax rules for the standard rate (19%) and the reduced rate (7%) by clicking on the respective row and then clicking Add on the right under Tax rules. You can find an overview of VAT rates, for example, here.

4. Adjust the chart of accounts matrix
With a new installation, or an installation after version 1.27.0.55, the adjusted chart of accounts matrix is automatically installed and can be used right away. If you're updating from an earlier version, you need to adjust the revenue accounts for the following entries in the chart of accounts matrix under Settings → DATEV chart of accounts matrix:

5. Add delivery threshold accounts
To store the delivery threshold accounts, open the chart of accounts matrix again via Settings → DATEV chart of accounts matrix and switch to the Delivery threshold accounts tab. There, use Add chart of accounts for delivery threshold to store the corresponding tax rates and the revenue account for the relevant countries.
