Putting away supplier orders

Putting away supplier orders with the WMS App

For putting away supplier orders, the Deliveries tab in the Pickware WMS App is intended for this purpose. This requires that the order has been created with Pickware ERP.

First, make sure that the correct destination warehouse is selected at the top, since only orders for the respective warehouse appear in the list. Now select the desired order from the list. You can choose between two put-away modes: Put away directly means that the goods are checked and put away directly to their final storage location, while Put away later means that after checking, the goods are first temporarily stored, for example in a box, and are moved to their final storage location in a second step.

Now scan a delivered item or select it manually in the app. Under Quantity, you see the ordered quantity of the item. If the delivered quantity does not match the ordered quantity, enter the actually delivered quantity or the quantity of undamaged items there. If you are in Put away directly mode, also check the storage location and manually adjust it if needed, or scan the respective storage location label. Now click save.

Once you have processed all items this way, you can, if needed, add photos, documents, or comments further down, for example to document damage or to store the delivery note in the backend. Finally, click Save at the bottom of the screen.

If you chose the Put away directly option, you are done and are taken back to the order overview. If you chose Put away later, the put-away now takes place. Once all items have been confirmed, the respective order receives the status Fully delivered. If items are still missing, the order receives the status Partially delivered and reappears in the list of orders in the Deliveries tab.

Putting away supplier orders via the backend

To put away supplier orders in the backend, open the order overview under Products → Purchasing → Order management and set the status Fully delivered in the Order status field for the respective order. You will then be asked whether the delivered goods should be put away completely right away. Click Yes here:

If you only received a partial delivery, you can instead set the status Partial delivery and then use the pencil icon to enter the actual delivered quantities for the individual line items.

In both cases, the stock of all items is then booked in to the default storage location of the destination warehouse.
