Why does a product show incoming stock even though no supplier order is open anymore?

Find out which supplier order causes the incoming stock and complete it in Pickware for Shopify.

Incoming stock even though nothing is on order is often caused by old supplier orders that were never set to Completed, or by orders that were only partially delivered. Set these orders to Completed in the Pickware Admin, and they will no longer count toward incoming stock.

What counts toward incoming stock?

Incoming stock is the ordered quantity minus the quantity already delivered from all supplier orders that are not in the state Delivered, Completed or Voided. A supplier order that was only partially delivered and remains open therefore continues to count toward incoming stock with its remaining quantity, even if the rest will never arrive.

The Demand planning also takes incoming stock into account so that you don't order twice. If old orders stay open, this therefore also affects the order suggestions.

Which supplier order is behind the incoming stock?

You can see which orders cause the incoming stock of a product directly on the product. Open the product in the Pickware Admin and switch to the Supplier orders tab. In the filter sidebar, set the filter Incoming, for example from 1, and you will only see the line items that still count toward incoming stock. You can read more about this tab in How do I view the supplier orders for a product?.

How do I remove the quantity from incoming stock?

Orders that are done or whose remainder will no longer be delivered, you set to Completed. After that, their remaining quantity no longer counts toward incoming stock.

Attention: You can no longer edit the line items of a completed supplier order. Only complete an order once nothing more will be delivered.

Note: You cannot complete a supplier order in the WMS App. This is only possible in the Pickware Admin.

  1. In the Pickware Admin, open the overview Purchasing → Supplier orders.

  2. Double-click the label in the State column in the order's row. This opens the state editing.

  3. Select the state Completed.

Recalculate demand planning

The demand planning only picks up the modified incoming stock once you click Recalculate there. Until then, the displayed order suggestions remain unchanged.
