You manage customer data in the Shopware Admin using the customer functions of Shopware. Customer creation and address management are Shopware functions, and this also applies to the transfer of the VAT Id when creating a new customer. The customer data of your shop customers is stored in your own Shopware database.
How do I delete customer data in a GDPR-compliant way?
If a customer wants their data to be deleted, proceed as follows:
Export the customer's data via Import/Export in the Shopware Admin.
Delete the customer profile in the customer area of the Shopware Admin.
How do I import customers?
You import customers via CSV file using Import/Export in the Shopware Admin with the profile for customers. Using the Sales Channel or customer group in the file, you separate customers for the POS and customers for your web shop.
What is the alternative email address for documents used for?
For an alternative email address to which invoices should be sent, Pickware provides the customer custom field Abweichende E-Mail-Adresse für den Rechnungsversand (Alternative email address for invoice shipping). It is a regular Shopware custom field and can also be filled via CSV import. If it is filled, invoices, cancellation invoices, and invoice corrections are sent to this address, both when sent manually in the Documents tab of an order and when sent via flow to the default recipient. In the checkout, the field only appears if it is built into your theme.
