How can I view and resolve product mappings in the product details?

In the product details, you can view all links (mappings) between a product in Pickware and the corresponding products in your connected Shopify shops, and resolve them if needed. This is especially helpful in multi-shop setups, when products from multiple Shopify shops are linked to each other.

Viewing product mappings

Open the product details in the General tab. In the Product Mappings section, you'll find an overview of all active and deleted mappings of this product to products in your connected Shopify shops.

The list shows the following for each link:

  • The Shopify shop the product comes from

  • The designation as primary link with a star

  • The Shopify SKU

  • The status of the link

  • The Shopify product name

For products linked to multiple Shopify shops, exactly one shop is always marked as the primary link with a star. Product details such as name, description, and images are imported into Pickware from this shop. Changes to these fields in the primarily linked shop are applied during a product import into Pickware.

Resolving a mapping

To resolve a link between a Pickware product and a Shopify shop, open the mapping overview in the product details and click Create as new product.

This creates a new Pickware product and links it directly to the selected Shopify product. The existing Pickware product retains only its remaining links. Product details and stock are imported from Shopify into the new product — existing Pickware data such as supplier assignments or goods receipts are not carried over.

If you create a variant parent product as a new product, all associated variants from the same Shopify shop are automatically created as new variants under the new parent as well.
