To print order documents and shipping labels from the Pickware Admin, we recommend using a printer with at least two different trays for the paper formats A4 for delivery notes and invoices and A5/A6 for shipping labels, so that documents of these formats can be printed.
If you want to use the same printer for all functions in the Pickware Admin and in the Pickware Apps, we recommend using a network printer that supports the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). This is the case for most network printers, and you can usually find information on this in your printer's manual.
You can also use a print server if your printer is not network-capable. If you want to print on Windows, this is also only possible with a print server.

Label printers for shipping labels
If you print shipping labels from the WMS App on a label printer, it must be network-capable and support the printer language ZPL. Printers with a different printer language, for example CPCL, do not work. The Zebra ZD421 has proven its worth. When buying, make sure it has a LAN or WLAN connection.
In the WMS App, the best way to set up the label printer is via the Add label printer button. You can find out how to assign the label printer in the app under How do I set up a printer in the WMS App?
Label printers for product and bin location labels
For product and bin location labels, Pickware generates PDF files that are optimized for label printers. A suitable model is, for example, the Dymo LabelWriter 450 Duo.
