Which printers does Pickware support?

Network printers with IPP for documents and label printers with ZPL for shipping labels: these are the printers you can use with Shopware 6.

For optimal use, we recommend using a network printer that supports the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). This applies to most network printers, and you can usually find information on this in your printer's manual. If your printer is not network-capable or does not support IPP, or if you want to print from Windows, you can use a print server.

The printer should have two different trays for the paper formats A4 for delivery notes and invoices and A5/A6 for shipping labels, so that documents in these formats can be printed. You can also use different printers for each format. When using multiple devices, you can also use a different printer on each one.

You can select the printers when setting up the WMS and POS App.

Label printers for shipping labels

If you print shipping labels from the WMS App on a label printer, it must be network-capable and support the ZPL printer language. Printers with a different printer language, for example CPCL, do not work. The Zebra ZD421 has proven itself. When buying, make sure it has a LAN or Wi-Fi connection.

In the WMS App, it is best to set up the label printer using the Add label printer button. You can find out more about scanners and printers for the WMS App under What hardware do I need to use Pickware WMS?

Label printers for product and bin location labels

For product and bin location labels, Pickware generates PDF files that are optimized for label printers. A suitable model is, for example, the Dymo LabelWriter 450 Duo.
