Note: If you work with locations, a warehouse is called a Warehouse zone. Locations and fulfillment orders with Pickware explains what changes as a result.
In this article, we show you how to create labels for bin locations to simplify your warehouse processes even further. For example, during a stocktake or when stocking products, you can easily select the corresponding bin location by scanning it.
Create labels in Pickware Admin
To create bin location labels, go to Warehousing → Warehouses and bin locations and select the warehouse you want. Switch to the Bin locations tab and click Create labels at the top if you want to create labels for all bin locations. Alternatively, you can select individual bin locations using the checkbox.
In the window that opens, enter the dimensions of your labels and click Create labels again.
You will now receive the generated labels, sorted by bin location identifier, as a PDF file to download.
Create labels externally
Alternatively, you can create bin location labels with any tool that can generate barcodes (Code-128). The input must be in the following format:
^3
the code of the warehouse
$
the bin location
For bin location A-01-05 in the main warehouse, this would look like this: ^3HL$A-01-05.
How can I use Avery Zweckform labels with Pickware?
You can also print bin location labels on label sheets, for example sheets from Avery Zweckform or HERMA. To do this, create a print format for your label sheet and select it when printing. You can find out how in How do I set up label print formats?
You can currently only design your own label templates with the template editor for product labels, not yet for bin location labels.
