If you want to prevent the stock of certain warehouses, such as your returns warehouse or your store's warehouse, from being available for online sales, you can disable this option in the warehouse settings.
You can tell which warehouses have online availability enabled by the green checkmarks in the Warehouses overview.
Withholding stock
A warehouse without online availability also helps you deliberately withhold stock from online sales. Typical cases are:
You only want to offer part of your stock online, for example 100 of 150 units
You are taking consignment goods to a trade fair and do not want to sell them online in the meantime
A goods receipt was booked incorrectly and can no longer be deleted
To do this, create a separate warehouse, disable online availability there, and transfer the withheld stock to it. It remains part of your total stock, but does not count toward sellable stock. If you transfer it back, it is available for sale again. What you sell at the trade fair, you book out directly from this warehouse.
