In Pickware, you can view the stock of your products under Product details in the Stock tab. Here, your stock is broken down into physical, not available online, reserved, and available stock.
Physical stock means the entire stock from all warehouses. This also includes, for example, the stock in return warehouses or stores.
Available stock represents the quantity of the product that is available for sale in your online shop. It therefore equals the physical stock minus the stock that is not available online and the reserved stock.
If you deactivate stock management for a product, that product is always available. You can find additional information on this topic here:
Is available stock also shown per warehouse?
No, Pickware calculates available stock per product across all warehouses, because reservations apply to the product and not to an individual warehouse. Per warehouse, there is only the physical stock. You can find it in the stock overview in the Per product and warehouse view. For more details, see What information can I find in the stock overview?
Can available stock be negative?
Yes. If more units of a product are reserved than are physically available, the available stock becomes negative. An available stock of −2 therefore means that two more units are reserved than are available for sale. Whether a product can still be ordered in that case is governed by the section below.
Why can a product be ordered when stock is 0?
Whether a product can still be ordered at a stock of 0 is controlled by the Shopware switch Clearance sale on the product, not by Pickware. If Clearance sale is activated, the product can no longer be ordered as soon as no stock is available. If it is deactivated, the product remains orderable and can be oversold.
With Pickware, the Shopware fields Stock and Available stock on the product both show the available stock. You can see the physical stock in Pickware under the product details in the Stock tab.
Clearance sale for variant products
For variant products, the Clearance sale switch is hidden on the parent product because stock is managed per variant. Therefore, set it for the variants using Bulk edit and activate the Show variants instead of parent products option.
