How do I efficiently pick identical single-item orders via the Shopware Admin?

If you receive many identical orders for so-called single-item orders, meaning orders that contain a single product with an order quantity of 1, you can use the bulk edit feature in your Shopware Admin to pick and ship them in bulk. This saves you significant time in the pick and pack process. This approach works especially well for promotions, product launches, or generally high-demand items.

The WMS App also has its own mode for picking single-item orders. You can find the instructions for this here.

Selecting single-item orders

To select single-item orders for picking, you can either filter all single-item orders by tag or directly use the filter for single-item orders in the order overview. You can generally recognize single-item orders by this symbol:

Selecting via filter for single-item orders

In the order overview, you'll find a checkbox that lets you display all open single-item orders directly. Please note that unlike the variant described below using tags, this option shows only open single-item orders.

After that, it's a good idea to additionally filter by a specific product. You'll find the product filter at the very bottom of the filter bar. Next, you can continue with creating the shipping labels.

Selecting via tag

Alternatively, you can assign tags to specific single-item orders in advance and then filter the order overview accordingly. To do this, first create a suitable tag under Settings → Content (Inhalte) → Tag.

Then you can assign the tag to all relevant orders.

You can also use a flow for this, which automatically tags relevant orders — for example, orders containing a specific product — with your tag. You can find more information about the Flow Builder here.

Now switch to the order overview and filter by your single-item order tag. The filtered list serves as the basis for the following steps.

Creating shipping labels and other order documents

Select the filtered orders and click on Bulk edit (Mehrfachänderung) → Start bulk edit (Mehrfachänderung starten).

In this view, you can carry out various actions for the selected orders. At the very top, you can use the button to create and then download shipping labels.

Here you can change the status of the orders, send status emails, and send order documents.

Further down, you can create invoices and delivery notes.

Further down still, you'll find the option to download the created documents:

Once you've selected all the actions you want, click Apply changes (Änderungen übernehmen) at the top. As soon as all changes have been carried out, you'll receive a corresponding message and can download any documents that were created.

Picking & packing

Next, take the ordered product out of your warehouse in the appropriate quantity. Then pack each package one after another, include the delivery note, and attach the shipping label. Make sure the delivery note and shipping label belong to the same order in each case.

Completing shipping

After packing, you can select all picked single-item orders again as described above, activate bulk edit, and ship them using the button at the top.
