How does the return of bundle products work?

Returns and refunds for orders with bundles generally work the same way as for regular orders. However, there are a few special points to consider, since your inventory management does not apply to the bundle product itself, but to the products assigned to it.

Exchange

An exchange of bundle products is only possible if an entire bundle product is to be exchanged for the same bundle product. This can be handled as part of a complaint. In this case, the original order is returned and the replacement product is provided again.

If a different product should be delivered instead, this is not directly possible within the same order. This applies in particular if a regular product is to be exchanged for a bundle product, or if a bundle would need to be supplemented afterwards. In these cases, you must create a separate order.

Full return

If the entire bundle product is to be returned, select the bundle and all assigned products when creating the return. You can then select, as usual, which products should be put back into stock or disposed of, and in what quantities. Since the bundle product itself has no stock, stock changes always apply to the assigned products.

The credit note contains the bundle itself, not the individual assigned products.

Partial return

If only individual components of a bundle are sent back, these can generally be selected in the return. Stock changes are then applied to the assigned products.

However, note that partial returns of individual components of bundles are currently not always displayed correctly on the credit note in every case. If a correct credit note is required for the process, check it especially carefully.
