General device settings
For a smooth day-to-day use of our apps, we recommend making the following additional settings on your Apple devices:
Under Settings → Face/Touch ID & Passcode, disable the mandatory passcode entry to unlock the display.
Set the auto-lock of the display under Settings → Display & Brightness to, for example, five minutes, or turn it off completely.
Reduce the display brightness to achieve a longer battery life for the devices.
Check under Settings → General → Language & Region that the settings for your country are stored.
Move the Pickware apps to the quick access bar at the bottom of the display.
We also recommend using the Pickware apps with the sound turned on, so you get acoustic feedback when scanning barcodes. Please note that, in addition to the volume control in the operating system, iPhones have a mute switch on the left side that must be turned off.
Keeping apps up to date
Whenever a new app update is available for POS or WMS, always check before installing it whether the changelog for the POS or WMS app requires a minimum version of the Pickware POS or WMS plugin. If this is the case, install the latest plugin version in the Shopware backend before performing the app update.
In general, however, you should make sure to install all updates promptly in order to benefit immediately from new features and small improvements.
