By releasing it, quotes become visible to the customer in the frontend under the Quotes section in the customer account and can be accepted independently by the customer. In addition, releasing the quote starts the expiration period for time-limited quotes. To release it, open the corresponding quote in the backend and click the Release button at the bottom of the quote window.
