The WMS App is available for picking orders with WMS. The process is the same for both apps.
Selecting an order
To pick an order, simply tap on an order in the app or tap Pick next order to select the first order in the list.
You now see all order line items sorted by storage bin. At the top you see the customer's name, address and selected shipping method. Using the Info button at the top right, you can view further information about the order.
Scan the items one after another with the barcode scanner. If it's the correct product, a confirmation signal sounds and the screen of your iPod or iPad briefly flashes green — if it's the wrong product, you hear a different signal and the screen briefly flashes red.
If a product is contained multiple times in the order, you can choose when picking the item whether you want to confirm all units or only a specific number.
If you pick a product for which multiple storage bins exist, an additional prompt appears asking whether you took the product from the storage bin specified in the order. If not, you can use the Select other storage bin button to choose the correct one from the alternative storage bins.
You can also pick an order manually without a barcode scanner by tapping on the individual product items. However, no visual or acoustic feedback is given in this case, so make sure you pick the correct product.
Once you have scanned all items, the invoice and/or delivery note are created and — if you have set up a printer — printed automatically as well.
Note: You can also postpone orders or carry out partial deliveries if needed. You can find out more about this in this article.
Automatically creating a shipping label
In the backend, under Settings → General settings → Further settings → Pickware WMS, you can set the shipping label to be created immediately after picking is completed. This requires that you use one of our shipping adapters. If this option is active, the window for creating the shipping label opens once you have picked the last item from the order.
If this option is active, the window for creating the shipping label opens once you have picked the last product from the order. Otherwise, you can also start the process manually.
Important: In order for a shipping label to be created via the app, a shipping carrier must be assigned to the shipping method. You can find more information on configuring shipping methods here.
Creating a shipping label manually
You can find all picked orders in the Ready to ship tab in the app. Scan the barcode on the invoice or delivery note to open the order, or select it manually in the app. Now select the Create shipping label option. The shipping label is now created and, depending on your settings, printed automatically.

Shipping an order
You can ship a completed order by scanning the barcode on the shipping label. Alternatively, you can find the Mark as shipped option in the order details. There you also have the option to reprint the created documents and the shipping label.
As soon as an order — via barcode scanner or manually — is marked as shipped, the physical stock of the products it contains is automatically deducted and the order status in the backend is updated. No further steps are necessary on your part.
Pick instructions
You can store internal pick instructions for individual orders or, across all shops, for specific products. These are then displayed during picking in the app.
To store a pick instruction for an order, open it in the backend and navigate to the Internal communication tab. Enter your desired text in the second field, then click Save internal pick instructions. For the pick instruction to be displayed in the order, you then need to reload the order overview in the WMS App.
To store a pick instruction for a product, open the product details in the backend. You can find the Internal pick instruction field in the Basic information (Stammdaten) tab, further down in the Custom fields (Freitextfelder) section.
