Returns with Pickware WMS

Returns can be conveniently processed from the warehouse using Pickware WMS and our WMS App. This process works as follows:

  1. In the WMS App, on the Returns tab, enter the order number or the customer's name to search for the order. Alternatively, you can scan the barcode on the delivery note / invoice or the return label, provided the return label was created directly in the Shopware Backend using one of our shipping adapters. This works independently of the warehouse selected above.

  2. Select the destination warehouse for putting away the return.

  3. Scan the items of the order that are being returned, or select the items manually using the + icon.

  4. Enter the corresponding return quantity for the items. If the returned goods can no longer be resold, they can also be written off in order to remove the corresponding items from stock. To do this, enter the corresponding quantity in the Write off field.

  5. Optionally add a comment or photos, for example to document damaged goods, and click Create return at the bottom.

After saving, you will be taken to an overview listing all previously selected items with their corresponding quantity and assigned storage bin. Once the putaway has been carried out, click Confirm putaway.

Here you can find the process as a video tutorial:

In the Shopware Backend, a new entry has now been created under Customers Returns. There, the return automatically receives the status Received and all stock levels are adjusted accordingly. If the goods are put back into stock, both the physical and the available stock level increase. In the case of a write-off, the stock level is not increased.

The refund can also be processed and the return completed in the Backend. You can find all the necessary information on this in this article in the section Cancelling returned line items.
